We welcome visiting golfers. It is a par 70 at 5913 yards from the back tee. with a good mix of par 3, 4 and 5 holes. Some are short and tricky and some are long and scenic.
Axe Cliff Golf Club was founded in 1894 during a boom time in the development of golf and it
was an inspired decision in 1905 to invite five times Open Champion, and renowned course
architect, James Braid to lay out the extra holes and oversee the development of the course.
Axe Cliff then had a course that was both enthralling and provided great views of the local
area.
